Hi, I’m Victoria
Dedicated to Empowering Children to Thrive
I believe every adventurer deserves the tools to navigate life’s complexities, build emotional intelligence and confidence
.
Growing up in today’s world presents unique challenges.
Socializing can be a minefield, filled with unspoken rules and confusing cues. Bullying can be relentless, leaving your child feeling isolated and afraid. Expressing their identity and managing emotions can be overwhelming, leading to anxiety and frustration. Today’s world can feel overwhelming, and navigating social interactions can be a complex puzzle. But don’t let them define your child’s journey! I’m here to help them build resilience and discover the hero within.
Introducing
Mental Health Therapy through the realm of Minecraft
Effective for kids struggling with ADHD impulses, AuDHD emotions, Anxiety, constant worry, being bullied, feeling “different”, constantly fighting back and often feeling lonely.
More than just building structures and battling creepers. Victoria, a Special Education Teacher, Licensed Professional Counselor and ADHD Clinical Specialist with over 15 years of experience, guides each child’s journey of social and emotional development. Through therapeutic conversations seamlessly integrated into the gameplay your child will learn valuable skills and coping mechanisms that can be applied outside the digital world. Group therapy goals are to construct resilience, problem-solving abilities, and emotional intelligence, one block at a time.
The Power of Play:
Minecraft’s familiar world allows children to feel comfortable and engaged. Through collaborative gameplay, they learn valuable social skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fun and natural way.
Building Confidence Brick by Brick:
Completing tasks and building friendships within the game fosters a sense of accomplishment and belonging, boosting your child’s self-esteem and confidence. This newfound confidence empowers them to translate these skills into real-life interactions.
Natural Opportunities for Growth:
As they navigate the world of Minecraft, natural opportunities arise to discuss real-life challenges. Working together to gather resources can spark conversations about anxiety and coping mechanisms. Building a shelter together can open doors to discuss navigating social situations or feeling isolated.
Focus and Engagement:
The interactive nature of Minecraft keeps many children focused and motivated throughout the therapy session. This allows them to absorb information and practice skills more effectively.
